Craving for roti canai

Lately I have been craving for spicy food. I know that it is not good for my health but a little indulgence once a while would not be too much, right? It is hard to find good Indian and mamak food in Kuching, and if they are available, the prices are high rocket. I guess they are considered specialty dishes here in Kuching. If you ever dream of a nice Indian rojak and curry mee, do try the Kucei Rojak at Batu Lintang Hawker centre.

Like I mentioned early, not many choices of Indian or mamak food around. Even the existing ones imposed expensive prices on their food and drinks. But when one’s crave builds in, even high prices cannot stop one from satisfying the craving and stomach.

Ammah, opposite Unimas in jalan Tun Ahmada Zaidi Adruce is one of the good mamak place when you can enjoy a nice glass of teh tarik and roti canai alike. Been a “heavy tea drinker”, hubby usually needs minimum of 2 glasses of iced tea to quench his thirst. In today breakfast, he ordered his usual iced tea (1 glass) and teh tarik (1 glass). And hubby looked at me one kind when my order came with question “Are you sure you can finish your plate?” LOL!

Both of us ordered 2 roti telur each, but never mind. It needs patience to eat at Ammah as their orders are pretty slow. It took us more than 30 minutes for our roti telur. RM14.50 for our breakfast. Now that is a great price and food to consider

I love spicy food but I eat it moderately but sometimes I just can't resist to have a bowl of curry noodle esp during the rainy nights!

Hi,
I hope you don't mind as I drop by just to share my view on Indian food in Kuching. My favourite R.Canai, curry and Nasi Beryani is at Bukahri Cafe at Satok.Well, its non aircond cafe & the price is reasonable. They still use charcoal for cooking.
