Before admission

Today is my 38th week and 4th day of pregnancy and it is the DAY we have been waiting for! I am weighing 61.5kg, gained about 11.5kg.

I am allowed to have breakfast this morning. Fasting only begins at 12noon and I am only allowed to drink plain water then. My girl has no school for 3 days because of UPSR exam so she followed me and hubby around. Jay still going to kindergarden today.

I am going to salon later for a full hair wash and then go home and take a bath before admitting to the Sibu Specialist Medical Hospital in the afternoon. Everyone is excited! And I am nervous too. But cannot get over it soon. :)

See you guys around! Shall update when I am up to the task. Till then, happy blogging and thanks everyone for the well wishes. :)

Lately

  1. I eat what I love to eat.  Nasi lemak, belacan midin, sambal, laksa, prawns etc.  All the food that I love and I know I would not be able to eat in the next 3 months.  "Dirty" and "cold" food because they are not good for the scar recovery after C-section delivery.
  2. My younger kid giving me some hard times.  He loves to wail, angry and asking for more attention from me lately.  Hmm, maybe he knows that his little brother is arriving soon and he is showing some signs toward me.
  3. Having hard time getting up from the bed.  It is like carrying 10kg dumbell on your chest and trying to do sit up with the weight.  I need to get up side-way from the bed now.
Eat less during meals but snack more in between.
  4. Having some backache and mild leg cramp.  Need to sit or lie down more.
  5. Lazy to do much at home.  Luckily hubby's uncle is back and he has been doing the cooking and cleaning around the house.  He just came back to make sure everything is ready for my confinement before he is going back to Kapit tomorrow.
  6. This time, after delivery I am getting a Malay lady to "urut" (massage) my abdomen and putting on the binding wrap to slim down my tummy.  Did not do so in the previous 2, and after my 2nd pregnancy, my skin along the abdomen did not stretch back to normal condition.  So ugly!  So this round I am going to take care of it properly.

Love being pregnant

Every pregnancy has different impact on me, physically, mentally and emotionally.  The most visible change being pregnant is my body and preception on being pregnant.  And I love it.

Before my 1st pregnancy, I was pretty slim, weighing around 52kg.  I love my body, so I went to gym, aerobic and jogging every week with my "health-conscious" ex-colleagues.  Then, I got married and and 2 months later, I was pregnant with my 1st baby.  Of course, I started to chalk up on the hormonal change and body turned from "slim" to being "pregnant".  I never associate "pregnant" with "fat" because naturally you are allow to devour as much food as you like during your pregnancy.  So I really bulk up on a lot of fat and weight during my 1st pregnancy.  But honestly I enjoyed my 1st pregnancy!!!  I felt energetic, beautiful and everyday was a learning day for me.  I read a lot of babies and pregnancies.

After my confinement, I underwent exercises and strict diet to get back to my pre-pregnancy body.  I succeed but after 3 years, I was pregnant with my 2nd child.  The emotional of being pregnant was overwhelming.  It was the right time to get pregnant as my eldest was 3 that year and it was time for her to have a sibling.  How estatic we all were when we learnt that it was a baby boy.
In my 2nd pregnancy, I quitted my work and become a lazy bum at home.  I was more of a zombie in my 2nd pregnancy; in the sense that I slept and rested a lot at home.  Did not do much.  Did not put on much weight.  But I realised that I develop more craving for spicy and sour food this round.  Almost every day I ate laksa, curry mee or nasi lemak.  I had food craving and I would not mind driving long distance to get that food.  Just to satisfy my craving.  So I wonder was that the reason why my boy can take some spicy and sour food now???  *wink*

Thought we stopped at 2; but God has his plan for us and I am pregnant with my 3rd one early this year.  I almost forgotten about how it was to be a pregnant woman again after the last one.  And in my 3rd pregnancy, I developed some nausea, and more energy sapping.  Easily tired.  Having sleeping problem at certain times and was sick most of the times.  I think I am getting the hang of a real pregnancy dilemma this round.  I enjoyed too much in my previous 2.  Now I am into the last week of pregnancy and in a week time, we will be welcoming our new member to the family.  Ooh, I could not wait for that to happen!!!!

But for the time being, I have to say that I do love being pregnant.  Because being a preggie, you have certain advantages.  For instance, the petrol station staff will assist you in pumping petrol.  And people tend to allow you to cut queues.  And yesterday while I was queuing to pay utility bills in POS Malaysia, a kind lady gave me her queue ticket so I could go first.  I am touched!  (and mind you, I never abuse my current condition to that extent).

And in almost every places especially wet market, people will ask and advise me (when am I due, what to eat and not to eat, pregnancy myth etc).  Well, I do enjoy the attention given.  *wink*  I know I would not have that experiences again.  Like other 2, I am opting for Caesarian, so 3 is enough.

Drinking coconut water

It may be the old wives' tale, but I am advised to take coconut water; especially now in my last month of my pregnancy.

It is supposed to cleanse and cool down my body and same time, help with the new baby's complexion - some said for a "clean" complexion while others said for fairer skin.

Hmm, why no body told me that in my previous pregnancies??  Or probably because I never ask and I always thought it is "prohibited" drink to take during the whole term of pregnancy.  But since I was advised by my MIL to take coconut drink, I have been taking it once a week starting early this month.  And soon, (actually now) I can take twice or more a week.  Still not advisable to take daily since it is cooling.

Don't know how true and does it helps with the easy labour and "cleaner" baby, but I know that coconut drink is rich in nutrients.  It helps to prevent Urinary Trait Infection, digestive problems and other health problem.  It is essentially fat and cholesterol free; and not to mention coconut drink is nice to be drank.  I love coconut drink even before I am pregnant.

Beautiful bump and counting on

Hi guys!  A short post over here!!

Surprise! Surprise!  *wink*  Don't worry, just pictures of my tummy; nothing indecent.  Wake up early this morning and suddenly thought of taking pictures of my growing tummy.

Nice or not?  *wink*  People said the poking belly button indicating you are carrying a boy but I don't know how true it is because I remember when I was carrying my girl, it was poking out as well.  Lol!
I am in my 34th week now. Times really fly. And in about a month time my baby boy is coming to this world, and new motherhood adventure will begin. Both anxious and excited if you are asking how I am feeling right now. I may be a mother of two, but it is different from baby to another one.

Bought few things this week for my confinement such as kei chi, red dates, longan, white wine for kacangma and herbal bath packs. And I finally get my hair cut too.  Short and nice!  Lol!

Right now I am going to enjoy my few weeks pregnancy time before I have my hands full with the new baby.

My 33rd week

I went for my check up with Sibu Specialist Medical Centre yesterday.  Need to follow up with the doctor there since I am going to deliver my 3rd baby there next month.

The doctor did a thorough check up on me since it was my first time there.  He did ultra-scanning and 3D scan on baby in my tummy.  Am glad that everything is normal and healthy, except that the baby position is slightly lower in my womb.  So that is why I am easily tired and have frequent urination because baby is pressing on my lower abdomen.  But other than that, the baby is healthy.

I don't know about other mummies, but in this 3rd pregnancy, I am getting lazier.  In term of putting lotion on my body and eating more supplements.  Unlike my 1st one where I ate and put everything into my body. I guess that was the reason my 1st baby was bigger and heavier and I grew pretty big. And everything was cut down when I was pregnant with the 2nd one.  And it is even lesser with this pregnancy.  *wink*

It was not that I do not care about this pregnancy but I felt lazier and more tired now compared to my 2 previous ones.  And I also do not put much emphasis on my appearance.  I do not bother to put on make up or put more time on my dressing when I go out, unlike the previous pregnancies, I were totally conscious of my appearance.  To me it is okay to look ugly while I am pregnant now.
However one thing that I am happy about is that I do not have any stretch marks on my tummy.  Never one stretch marks in all my pregnancy terms.  Totally beautiful round tummy.  Not that I am boasting that I have beautiful skin, but it is a blessing not to endure those unsightful stretch marks.  I saw a cousin's tummy who is about the same EDD with mine; hers is full of stretch marks.  When I shown her mine, she was surprised that I do not have any.  *wink*  So I do save on those anti-stretch marks cream, which I never used at all.  Just normal moisturising lotion on my tummy.

Now my check up would be every 2 weeks till my delivery date.  Could not wait to get it over with!  I am getting heavier and lazier nowadays.

What I need now...

Is new bra and a hair cut!!!  *wink*

Find that my bra cannot fit me comfortable anymore. And my tummy is getting bigger every day till I feel my breasts are smaller.  Or maybe because my tummy and breasts are same level now that I look round all over in front.  Lol!

And I need to trim my hair since the last time I have a hair cut is early January.  About time to get a trim before I go for my confinement.

There are 2 pregnant ladies that I met in Sibu, who about the same due date as mine.  Both are bigger than mine!  Both looks so huge that they look like they are going to due soon!!!

I had this veggie fritters for breakfast this morning. It has a bit of squid in it too.  I love this fritters so much that I can have it twice a week. Cannot eat too much because not so healthy. But the crunchiness and tasty filling cannot keep me away from tapau-ing RM1 (4pcs) from next door coffee shop. I think I am starting to have some food craving especially salty food.

School exam is next week.  My girl must be stressed as me, but she has been to tuition for a week and she has been given revision and mock tests throughout the week.  Luckily she passed in all the tests in the tuition centre.  A way to prepare her for the coming exam.  Soon the kids will be having their school holiday.....I cannot wait for that to come.  Lol!

Going into 3rd trimester

I am entering my 28th week, so another 3 months before I am due.  I am on my last stretch of my pregnancy and I could not be more happy.  And I would be experiencing my 3rd trimester in Sibu!
I am very pregnant now, because tummy is more visible than previous month.  Probably because I am eating more and appetite is better after 20th week.  Some more I am munching more at night before I gone to bed.

In the same purple outfit.  From Week 24 to Week 28.  Any difference??

Baby is very active in my womb, practising his kicking and punching more frequent.  Sleeps at nights also do not come easy but luckily I am able to take my afternoon naps to compensate for the lost of my sleeps.

I went for my OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) early of the month in Gribbles Lab.  First time I underwent such test.  Need to fast for at least 8 hours, so me being the first customer in the lab I was given a very yukky glucose drink to be finished up after went for my first urine and blood sample test.  Really sweet and I almost puke after finished up a whole bottle.  The whole test took 2 hours and I need to give 3 rounds of urine and blood sample test before I can leave the lab.  And by the time I finished around 10.30am, I immediate went to have my chicken rice brunch.  Too hungry after fasting too long and did not have anything in my tummy.  *wink*

The report turned out good after collecting and consulting my doctor this morning.  So nothing to worry about developing any gestational diabetes.  Did not do in the previous 2 pregnancies.  Probably my previous gynae did not see the need of it.  However I am glad that I was given the chance to do it this round. At least I know how my body's response to glucose and chance of developing diabetes.

2nd trimester was great because I am more energetic and kept busy most of the times.  Funny thing is that I enjoy doing the housework especially cleaning.  Very weird because I feel like everything must be in order and clean.  Otherwise I start to cleaning till I am satisfy with the result.  Lol!

I am getting lazier as day goes by!  Hardly do much housework.  If I do, I will take my times so usually a 30 minutes work now take me more than an hour to get it done.  *wink*

I am more moody in this pregnancy.  Easily angered and irritated by small matters.  Sometimes I feel sorry for my hubby and kids because they have to take the blunt from me.  But I am glad that they understand my mood swings.  And I fall sick more too.  Took me a long time to recover from my sickness, mostly cough.  Hopefully my 3rd trimester is better on me.

Guess what?  I found out that my confinement lady costs RM3300 for full day!  Wow!  The price has rocketing since 4 years ago.  Well, I guess she must be good to ask for such price.  Will only know after I delivered and use her service.....

Week 24 bump

I am in my Week 24 now.  I am doing fine.  My appetite is good and I still have much energy moving around and doing house chores.  Baby is moving very frequent now and I can feel its rolling and kicking. Most of the times, he is practising his karate in my tummy.  Very naughty baby.

I had experienced some abdominal cramps on 3 occasions.  Cramped till I could not move and have to breathe pretty slow to ease the pain.  Fortunately the cramps only last less than a minute.  It makes me wonder is that how contraction really feel at low pain meter??  I don't know because I never experienced contraction pain before.  I had Caesarean in the past.

Comfy is important at this stage.  I am sleeping on my left side since 1st trimester.  I feel more comfortable sleeping at my side.  Everything I wear is  bigger size now.  The blouses, pants, dresses, bras and panties.

My bra size has grown bigger by one cup.  From 36C to 36D.  After giving birth to my 2nd child in 2009, I has been on diet and managed to slim down.  Weight went down to 50kg. And my breasts also reduced in cup size too.  *wink*  Used to wear around 38C or 38D bras (depends on the brand) after my first child.  Now that I am a preggie for the 3rd time, I wonder my breasts will grow bigger too??  Not that I am complaining but I would prefer to maintain the current size.  And you know what I would prefer to be bigger and fuller?  My bum.  But after 2 children, it does not grow bigger much.  Lol!

The kids are excited to feel the baby movements as I let them touch my tummy.  And I let them talk to the baby as like the baby is present.  It is a way of bonding with the baby and they would not feel left out when the baby is actually born.

And what is tonight food menu??  Our main dish is this nourishing chicken soup.  I bought a kampong chicken for RM19.70 from the wet market this morning and decided to cook chicken with red dates and mushroom soup.  Long time did not cook chicken soup.

The kids can drink the soup, since they would not take the kampong chicken meat.  And I love red dates.  Good to take for my current condition.  *wink*

Chat with another preggie

I have a chat with a friend who is also pregnant and has the same EDD with me.  Both her girls were natural birth while I opted for C-Section for my 2 kids.  Both of her kids were born earlier than the EDD and the 2nd one was premature by a month.  It was a tough delivery for the 2nd one but now the little girl is 2 years old.

The other day we were discussing about maternity and confinement issue.  I were asking her whether she would be doing her confinement in Sibu like the previous two but she is planning to stay in Kuching this time and get someone to do for her instead of getting her mum to help.  When asking her why staying back in Kuching this round, she said she would not like to trouble her mum with the confinement period.  She will get someone to do the cooking, while she can take care of the kids herself.  So not a strict confinement for her.  And she can have more freedom when no elderly around.  She can do whatever she wants to. I was shocked when she said that she can bathe and wash her hair whenever she likes without her mum around.  Oh dear!

I advised my friend to follow some of those confinement "pantang" as they are for her own good, but sound like she has already decided not to follow.  Well, guess I could not do anything but tell her not to.  I don't think confinement period is such a dreaded period.  It may be suffering especially the no-washing hair part.  I also don't like the idea of sleeping with my oily hair every night for 30 nights, but I survived both confinement without much damages to my hair.  And I only got to take bath once a day after the first week.  At least get to clean ourselves although the black herb water is hot.  Come to think of it, it is pretty relaxing without much worrying on food and kids as they are been taken care of.

Wonder whether my in-laws have managed to find confinement lady for me or not??  It is not easy to find a good one.  I enjoyed my 1st confinement lady although she was strict, but she does cooked great confinement food and I always look forward to her cooking.  My MIL called her up few weeks ago but apparently she has retired.  Over 60 plus now, so it is time for her to retire.  Just hope that I am able to get a good one in Sibu.  Heard that the fee is now reaching around RM3000 for full shift (stay-in)!  Expensive!  But it is not an easy job taking care of small baby at night and during the day, still need to take care of the new mother and do other houseworks.

Hey babe! It is a BOY!

Went for my monthly pre-natal check up and anatomy scanning this morning.  As usual a long wait and I got my turn after waiting for more than an hour.

My growing tummy

It took a while to find the gender news because doctor was checking on other stuff, i.e. urine test, heartbeat, glucose test and weight.  Even while I were lying on the bed, the doctor took some time to confirm the gender.  The baby cannot keep still in my womb.  But when the doctor pointed out that "thinggy" to me, I knew the answer right away.

Yes!  Undeniably it is a boy!  Even before the ultrasound I knew it is a boy.  Because I feel like it a boy, and some sign tell that I am carried a boy.  Called it a mother's intuition.  Even a friend of mine was guessing it is a boy.

I would be back to clinic in 4 weeks time, but no more ultrasound since I have been scanned for the past 3 months. But I would have to undergo Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) due to my age.  Well, I am turning 36 this year and I feel healthy but doctor just need to confirm my blood glucose level is normal.

Broke the big gender news to hubby during breakfast in the nearby coffee shop after my check up.  He was happy. Why not?  He always want a 好 子 (a girl, a boy and a boy in that order and short for a good child "一个好孩子") and now he is getting it!  *wink*  But we are most happy that the baby is growing healthy in my womb and I am doing fine at the current stage.

I am in my Week 20 Day 3 as of today, and I have gained 2 kgs from the previous check up.  Glad that I am gaining some weight because my weight is sure increasing slowly in this pregnancy compared to my previous 2.  Current weight is 53.3kg.  And doctor pricked and took out a pinch of my blood for sugar test and the reading is 5.5, so it is normal.

Am I happy to be a new mummy again??  You bet I am!!!

Week 20 Bump

I am in my Week 20 now.  Halfway there.  Can't believe that time flies.

  • I go to toilets more frequent now.  I need to urinate more and even after come out from the toilet, I have that urge again
  • Feel tummy is heavier and baby is like pressing on the bladder.  So a slight uncomfortable on the lower part of the abdomen
  • Squatting is getting harder now
  • Walking up the staircase also required more energy (spell L-A-Z-Y)
  • Sleeping at my sides more with pillow between two legs and one under my belly
  • Can feel the baby flutters more frequent now, especially when I lie down on the bed.
  • My belly button is protruding as you can see in this photo
  • No itch or dryness on my belly area and I used soothing lotion once a while over my belly.  Hopefully no ugly stretch marks appear
  • No constipation problem (thank God)
  • Did not put on much heap of weights unlike the first two. Did not eat much and have no particular craving for anything.  However I have higher sweet craving than normal days. Probably I developed a sweet tooth in my 3rd pregnancy. Maybe I am going to have a smaller baby this round. Previous two were weighing more than 3kgs.  First one is 3.58kg and 2nd one is 3.33kg.

A quickie and my baby

Fixed myself a quick breakfast today since I am due for my pre-natal check up in the morning.  Used my newly bought Chefel flip pan this morning to fix my breakfast.  Fried my sausages and egg in the flip pan.  No oil added and so simple to prepare with my flip pan.  *wink*

Baby is doing fine.  I am now going into the 17th week.  Went for the Tetanus injection and scanning besides the urine test.  My blood test that I did previously turned out good and doctor is satisfied with the report.  Baby was moving so much in the worm that doctor was having hard time measuring the baby.  I can see the head, arms and limbs moving around.

I am gaining 1 kg, weighing 51.5kg.  Still need to gain some weight in the next few months.  Still not much appetite to eat a wholesome meal but obediently taking my 3 meals a day.  Once a while I will munch on some breads or went for supper at night.

I still wear most of my pre-pregnancy clothes so not many people knows that I am pregnant but few people that seldom saw me noticed that I have a baby bump.  Soon I will have to start wearing my pregnancy clothes.

Sleeps become slightly difficult for me at nights now.  Do you have such sleep problem or is my case slightly early???  I don't know but I would keep tossing around on my side till I feel comfortable and able to doze off.  Not much problem during my 1st 2 pregnancies till later stage but again, each pregnancy is different I guess.  So I would enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible.  *wink*

As of today

We are having warm spell now in Kuching as it was hot sun every day except light shower in the evening.  It makes me lazy to go out and usually I will buy my groceries once a week.  Buy all the meats and vegetables and stock up my fridge.

I also bought some DVDs last Saturday morning, so I have been catching up on some dramas for the past few days.  It is a great escape from the daily chores and I get to enjoy doing something I like.  *wink* But still, I will never forget my chores as I stick to my schedule every weekday.  Cleaning the house on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, especially sweeping and mopping.  Other days will be more on dusting and arranging the shelves etc.  Like this morning for instance I cleaned up my kitchen and living room windows.  The last time I did it was before CNY!  So it has been more than a month!!

I climb on ladder to clean the windows as they are pretty high.  Well, my friend advised me not to climb and instead should rest more!  I am the type that cannot stick and stay still.  So for me, as long as I am comfortable, climbing ladders and doing house chores are no problem. *wink*

Do you really follow those "pantang" during pregnancy?  It depends for me, see whether they are ridiculous or realistic and as long as I feel comfortable.

Took a picture of my tummy this morning.  In my 13th week today. Tummy still not so noticeable unless I wear something tight.  Going for my check up in 2 weeks time.

Cooked one of my comfort food for lunch later.  White porridge!  Just when I do not feel like eating anything fried or do not have much appetite, white porridge is a comfort to me.  Since hubby is not coming back for lunch and dinner today, so I just whip up something simple for my lunch.  Haven't think of what to have for dinner, maybe have a takeover with my kid tonight.  For my porridge, I have some prickled lettuce and black bean fish.  My girl will have some fried noodle and a croissant for her lunch.  She already ordered her lunch menu with me before she went to school this morning!

I am preggie!

Yes! I am glad to shout here that I am pregnant! 3 months pregnant to be exact.  So if those of you remember that I did mention I have "close factory" for another baby last year I have to take back my words.  God has its plan and we are blessed to have another baby on the way.

I am doing fine, just a bit tiring.  I was mostly sick during the 1st 2 months, with cough and tonsilitis and being a preggy, doctors do not recommended antibiotic to me.  So I have a long time to recover from my sickness.  Age is also catching up.  Lol!  Both hubby and I were "chua-kia" (snake kids) as we were born in the Year of Snake, so another "chua-kia" in the family is great.

I feel more nausea in this pregnancy. Unlike my 2 previous pregnancies, this time is more tiring.  I do not have much appetite and I have some mild morning sickness.  But like the previous 2 I only feel nauseatic when I am hungry.  So need to feed myself fast before nausea becomes worse.  Each pregnancy is different.  In my first pregnancy, I enjoyed food the most, eat and eat non stop. And every night I must have my supper.  Exactly 9 pm because my tummy would grumbled and I could not sleep well at nights.  As on my second pregnancy I were more relaxed because I quitted my job and rest enough.

So I am going to enjoy my pregnancy again.  Need to bring out my maternity clothing soon, because I could not find in some of my clothing now.  Although I did not put on weight (up to now) I could feel my tummy is growing. So more pants and skirts do not fit me.  Luckily I did not give away my maternity clothing.  And I still have lots baby stuff and clothing around.

Initially plan to go to Thailand in June this year but that have to be postponed; maybe next year.  Instead planning to go vacation to Hong Kong end of the year.  Hope it works out there.

I am going for my next checkup during 16th week.  Maybe by then we would know its gender.  When asked my eldest, she wants a baby sister since she already has a brother.  But we do not mind any since we already have both.  As long as the baby grows healthy like the sister and brother, is good enough for us.

Ready to go?

For many months I kept receiving good wishes, advices, encouragements and comments from friends on my pregnancy. Thank you very much. You all have been wonderful in making my pregnancy a much better endured journey. I know that you are looking forward to seeing my baby as much as I do. I hardly can wait to welcome him to the world.

I am now at week 38 and has been gaining more weight than ever. I am like a big balloon now. Other than occasional discomfort on my lower abdomen, I don't have any health issue. However lately I develop some joint pains on my fingers and pain on my soles when I walk around. You may not believe it, but I don't have a single stretch mark or develop any itches on my tummy. A pregnant friend couldn't believe it until I shown my tummy to her last week. Hahaha! She just couldn't believe it till she saw that I don't have stretch mark. I don't have one when I was pregnant with my first child. But my skin on the tummy is darker than the rest of my body of course, and green veins are more visible there.

My bag is packed for the trip to the hospital; but unlike previous visit, this time round, I wouldn’t be bringing many things. I remember in the last trip, my bag was so full with many stuff that in the end I did not even use any of those stuff. You know, baby clothes, baby stuff, those maternity pads, baby diapers and baby milk powder (no one told me that private hospital does give out milk cans and I brought back 2 small cans of milk powder home). What to do, I were a first-time mother and an anxious, eager and excited one too! Lol! You can say this time round, I am smarter and only bring what is necessary.

Just few weeks ago, I was sorting out baby stuff from boxes and containers. I brought out my little gal’s cloth diapers and some baby stuff from hampers given by well wishers. Wow! The diapers still looks new and white. So I have washed all those cloth diapers and they are ready to be used. I still have few feeding bottles and nipples that never used, so those are taken out as well. What ever that can be used, I taken it out just in case.

We did not buy any baby clothing as we still can used little gal’s baby clothing. Luckily we bought mostly white baby clothing last time, so it is unisex and can be worn on baby boy as well. *wink* Baby stuff are very expensive nowadays and you know, baby grows up fast. Hardly can buy and keep so many.

Well, that is! More or less I think I have everything! (I hope, gulp) Somehow, I feel like I miss something but I don't know what it is. I guess as I go along the confinement, I will know what it is. At least if I miss out anything, I can get help from hubby or SIL to do for me. On other part, I have get my baby sitter to assist me in picking up little gal from her school when it re-opens for new semester next month. At least I am sure she is well taken of during my confinement.

Hmm, I wonder who the baby will look like? Like me or hubby? Whatever it is, all I hope is that he is going to be a healthy, loving and happy baby.

Getting back into shape

I admire those mothers that still can maintain their slim figures even after giving birth! For them, everything is the same and their bodies did not alter during and after pregnancy. Sometimes I wonder whether are they pregnant or not! Lol!

Wouldn’t it be nice if a mother’s weight and size can still be maintained like before?? I know it is hard, as some mothers like myself experiencing bigger frame, especially my hip and abdomen part, which are most obvious now.

Some more I am going for C-section, so those parts are even more difficult to slim down after delivery. I hope that I can shred some fat probably from gym or aerobic. In my first pregnancy, I only started exercising after a year, as I couldn’t find times to go anywhere and find suitable centre, except working and taking care of my gal after work. But this time round, I must start my exercise regime earlier, once my gynae gives me green light to do so! *wink*

36th week and still counting

I went for my usual check up this morning. Just did the normal check up, i.e. urine (no protein detected), weight (62.5kg)and blood pressure (normal). Doctor also did the normal heart beat checking on baby. Except for the lower abdomen pain I have last week, which doctor assure me it is normal probably due to baby's head moving downward, everything is fine with me.

Doctor will do scanning on baby next Thursday to determine the weight of baby upon delivery. So, now I am on a weekly check-up......

Ahhhh!!

Yesterday I started to feel some pain in my lower part of the abdomen. It was like what I feel when I have my period cramp. It did not feel like a contraction, so I did not consult my gynae. Thought that an afternoon nap would ease the pain, but it was still there after I woke up from my nap yesterday. It persisted till last night. Not that painful, just feel uncomfortable and I unusually did not feel like moving and doing things, just want to lie down on the bed.

And when I told hubby about my condition last night, he commented that maybe the baby cannot wait and probably want to come out sooner to this world. Er, I don’t think that I am going into labour, and not that soon. Still about a month to go.

Today I feel much better and and pain is easing. *Inhale* Now I am learning to relax and rest more. Don’t want to think too much of the house chores, leaving those works to hubby.

Excited all over again

Just when I thought that I am going to relax and breathe better a bit, I got myself pregnant! AGAIN! Oh no! The sleepless nights are going to haunt me again. Wake up to coax, feed, burp, change and put baby to sleep in middle of the night while the rest of the household is sleeping. And that include my snoring hubby too, who does not care if the sky fall down on him!……… That was my thought when I knew I was pregnant early this year. *smile*

However as my due date is around the corner, I am overwhelming all over again. Yesterday hubby accompanied me to buy some stuff for the new baby as well as for my maternity usage. Phew! Tiring but at least we started to stock up some items for the baby arrival. Luckily this time round I do not need to buy so many items since there some leftover from my little gal, otherwise I would not know how much we would be spending! I know deep in my heart that with arrival of the new baby, there are so much things to do and things may get tough sometimes but nevertheless I am happy to be a mother again. Once a while, when I look back at little gal’s old photographs, the memories of her when she was a baby came back to me. Sometimes I felt that my girl is growing up too fast and I could not longer hold and hug her like a baby.

My little gal is 3 years old plus now. She is much easier to take care of now, no more night feeding and she eats what I cook. I guess partly she is a girl, she tends to be busybody and chatty. She can be a helpful helper around the house too. But with new baby along the way, I think I would be concentrating more on the new baby. Probably my little gal will feel neglected by me, but I am glad that I have hubby and her sister and brother to look after my little gal. She may be the only toddler around, but sometimes we felt that she feels lack of attention and loves. She wanted more from us. With new baby, I don’t want her to think that mummy no longer care about her. What should I do to make her feel better and wanted, while she does not feel like a second fiddle to the new baby?
