Miscellaneous Picture #79: Last month

May has proven to be an unpredictable and exciting month. The buzz of GE14 and aftermath, confusion of 2-days holiday and school exams.

However I am glad that it was all over and now we could enjoy the month-long school holiday.

But first, I would like to wish everyone, Selamat Hari Gawai! Happy holidays!

Hair Raya is about 2 weeks away. We did visited Ramadhan bazaar last month but only one. At this time of the year,  dates (kurma) will be available every where. My man loves dates but only him. So this year, he bought this convenient pack from a supermarket to consume. 4 dates in a pack (about 4cm long), pretty big date.

Last month, the man and boy went for few fishing trips but nothing have been caught so far. Both have developed new interest in fishing.

Most of the day, it was hot over here last month but We did have crazy showers and thunderstorms any other day.

When it was cold, we craved for piping warm bak kut teh. Our indulgence of both soup and dry bkt in Ting Cafe, BDC on one Sunday. It has been ages since we ventured into that part of the residential area.

Oooo. Look what I found! A cotton candy stall in front of the kid's school. Started last month but not every day you get to see them there.

Cotton candy! Used to be plain white during my time. ^^

A concise summary of the month of May. 4 dates can be easily finished and no need to keep for long long in the fridge. Father and son bonding over fishing is so heart warming.

Nice decor for Gawai. Loved cotton candy when I was young - must-buy everytime there was a fun fair in town.

I hope they will catch some fish soon. It will be so satisfying.

4 dates only. Haha. I'll finish them all in one go. Todate I have already eaten almost 10 boxes of dates. Need to stock up more before the end of Ramadan :D

I attempted to fish too when I was young. Fond memories! ^.^
