The same

I have blogged about this old coffee shop in Jalan Padungan before. Most of my lunches were spent here when I used to work at the next-door shopping mall.

It is a familiar Chinese coffee shop in Kuching that serves good and tasty kolo mee, chicken rice and economy rice (chap fun). I love its tea too especially teh o peng and teh c peng. They used good tea brand and it was good and fragrant.

I remember back then the kolo mee cost around RM2.80 but those were the days. It is around RM3.30 now, if I am not mistaken. Hubby picked the tab so I am not too sure.

Anyway, its kolo mee is still the best for us. Still the same old taste like how we remembered it.

There may be hike in price but the quantity is the same. Not less or more. The same.

And not forget to order its kiaw soup (meat dumpling soup). The soup is nice.

We mostly have our Sunday breakfast here. The kids enjoy the noodle here. I guess we are never bored of this same old place, same old taste. *wink*

I did see this shop when I was in Kuching - in my blogpost...tomorrow, I think but no, I did not eat anything from there. The people did not look very friendly so I did not take a photograph of what they were selling.

They say that is not the original chicken rice, once very popular - beside Capitol Cinema...that one has moved to another shop further down that same block, they say.

That is very cheap and so appetising. After feasting on Bazaar Ramadan food yesterday, I'm craving for something that looks like this.

Yes. They are like that. Weird and unfriendly siblings but as you know them, you are used to it and they tend to be friendlier. Haha.

Chicken rice beside Capitol?? Used to operate in Sekama but I am not sure it is still there or not.

That is so nice, good food with very good price eventhough they have increased the pricing over the years but it is still reasonable. I can't get anything like that here in KL.

I also missed the food from the yesteryears.... I feel the way the people cook last time is totally different from the food these days. Those were really authentic, nowadays everything is made easy..
