A Sunday dim sum

Everyone woke up very early today; before 7am. Actually my girl woke us up with her coughs. All 3 kids have a bout of flu and cough this week, so I had a pretty tiring week looking after them.

It is another grocery shopping Sunday, as hubby is travelling tomorrow. So we went for a dim sum breakfast before shop in Medan mall. We just went to the nearby restaurant, HongFu for dim sum. Had a great dim sum during our first dining but this time, it did not turned out great!  Or maybe we were too early as not much choices. No har kau today!!

Let's have a look at what we had.

Yeap, that was a lot for us, I know.  But we ordered 3 different dim sum with same filling, ie char siew! Gosh! The paus, sio pau and yam puff!

I quite like the char siew pau as the outer was soft and the filling was sweet

The one in Farley was better than this steamed rib

The char siew pau

A bit disappointed as expected a yam puff. The staff was not informative enough. If I knew it was char siew filling, I wouldn't have ordered at first place. Service was not good I have to say

Hubby ordered this. I only tasted one as I never a fan of chee cheong fun.

We could not finished this plate of fried noodle as we tried to finish up the dim sum.  In the end we tapau the leftover dim sum for my sil!

Okay, not going to come back here for breakfast. Will go to other place for dim sum next round. ;)

Good weekend Rose! Hope your children are better now.

I am as surprise as you to see red char siew fillings in the yam puff. Yes, better go try another dim sum place since this one is not satisfactory.

Oh dear. 3 kids down with flu and cough is pretty tough. You take care too. You need to be strong and healthy to care for them.
