Mixed

It was concernly hazy last Sunday, so not a very good family day to start with. Did not go to the church service as hubby was involved in a "gotong-royong" project for Kai Joo/Indian Street that morning.

So, I stayed at home with the kids in the morning and I made us a simple lunch. Hubby was on diet, so he ate his tapau-ed roti canai and complement with my home-made salad.

I just mixed whatever I could find in my fridge. Bacon, egg, onion, lettuce and add some vinaigrette dressing and garnished with mint leaves. Nice appetiser, if you ask me.

When we went out in the evening, I got the kids to wear face masks. Looking at the haze that no where getting better, it would be a good idea to wear masks.

And how they wished they could buy this tent. So cheap as it was on offer. But nay! No outdoor camping anytime soon.

We went to TJ Delight Food Court for dinner. It was packed that evening and we waited quite a while for our food. Thank god it rained so it was breezy to sit in the open space and we were entertained to some karaoke.

Wanted something plain for dinner, so we havd white porridge with those delicious goodness (according to hubby). This ugly-looking plate of braised intestines and innards mixed with salted mustard could be so good with white porridge on a hazy day.

Pardon the blurry picture as it was rather dark to take a good shot.

Of course I had other condiments such as braised duck, fried fish, belacan kangkong and salted egg too but lazy to take pictures as not bright enough for good shots.

My girl had a tent like that - two tents, cartoon ones...and she would go camping in the house...and forced the papa to get in too. So hot, pengsan!!! Muahahahahaha!!!!

Your hubby on diet? And eating all that bacon in your salad? I wouldn't mind that kind of diet too. Hehehehehe!!!

Ooooo...I want porridge with all those!!! Don't know of any here, mostly just meat porridge, so boring one. :(

Haze is getting slightly better here. At least now we can see the distant hills. Oh, I love your kind of salad, so yummy. I fully agree on having porridge on hazy days with all the condiments you have mentioned. Such a delicious dinner!

I also wore a N95 mask last Mon as I cannot stay the burning smell! Anyway, some respite these two days as it has been raining. The PSI level went down to 'moderate' now and I can go for a run tomorrow if it stayed like this.

Yes, better let your kids wore the surgical masks if the readings are too high!

I got headache that day, I think it is because of the haze, pop two tablets of panadol as I cannot stand the headache

It's hazy here too.. After the rain also still hazy.. Really headache la, every year once.. Your salad looks good, I'm ready to wallop anything with bacon and hard boiled eggs inside, but I prefer creamy sauce like mayo or sour cream, hehe..

Luckily it was not so hazy over here. We need more rain to clear haze. Do you kids eat the salad too?

Not with vinaigrette. They like with mayo dressing.

"Hubby was on diet, so he ate his tapau-ed roti canai" You do know that roti canai and diet doesn't go hand-in-hand right? LoLoL!
