A token of appreciation

Every year my company will be giving away something to their Chinese staff as token of appreciation for the hard works and loyalty. I remember the first year when I joined the company, I received a big basket of fruits and vegetables, consisted of leek, Napa cabbage, mandarin oranges and pamelo. I didn’t took photo of the basket, but it really impressed my mum. She kept the basket with its items till they rot!! LOL! Every year since then, she using the same basket for decoration purposes during CNY.

Few years back each of us took a box of Lo Kum or few pamelos with Nian Gao home. Nothing impressive compared to the first year where we have the fruits and vegetables basket.

This year we got this nice box of Japanese Mixed Mo-chi. Next to it is this year CNY card. Round shape, a rather unusual card right? Care to share some mo-chi with me?

That's really nice of your company. Sadly we don't do it here in the US, unless you work for an Asian company (I think).

rose,
What a nice company to work for. So considerate unline mine. But I guess I cant blame them since I cant expect them to give more than a mandarin orange for a deparment when they have more than 700 pax on their pay roll...

Happy CNY!~

Cool company you have. Mine has been rather stingy this year. We didn't get a single thing, no bonus, no oranges, nothing whatsoever ... sigghhhh ...
