♡Back to the beach♡

We spent a night in a beach chalet with a couple friends and their children over the weekend.

And no, we did not come for this concert but others did as the resort and other hotels in Damai were packed with concert-goers and vacationers.

We came here for some relaxation and family time.

We were back to the same beach that we went to early last month but this round, we stayed in different resort. Damai Beach Resort.

The kids were looking forward to the beach holiday and what a better way to spend their school holiday than having a bunch of friends and fun together in the sea and sand??

What a great play date they have!!

But before we hit the water, we started off our beach holiday with a potluck lunch. We had our lunch in the sidewalk of a function hall which is opposite our chalet.

Initially we wanted a bbq but since last year, Damai Beach Resort did no longer offer bbq pit facilities so we decided to prepare and cook our food and bring from home.

Hubby in charged of the grilling!! It was a very gloomy and cold Saturday morning, so the weather was nice to grill some meats outdoor.

I made a simple salad for everyone.

We prepared grilled lambs, eye-of-round beefs and pork bellies.

My friends cooked her steamed chicken, ginger pork, corn soup and steamed corns for the potluck.

A potluck is not complete without few beers, don't you agree? A toast to us! What a wonderful beach holiday.

Ooo...lovely BBQ! I love eating, not the BBQ-ing part, so hot to have one here. Wow! Sheila Majid! Met her at Jaya Supermarket in PJ in 1986 - she's so small...
