It is weekend again. Glad the girl's school trial exam is over but tomorrow would be her piano music theory exam. I am sure she can do well in that.

Nothing quiet this weekend as we have weekend guests staying with us. So we would be busy acting as hosts and drivers to our guests.

And thank you to the lovely Libby for this awesome award. And my oh my, it has been ages since I received one too.

I always dream of being own boss and have a small business. Something like a collectibles and antique trading shop.  Got inspirations from The Pickers in History Channel.

I would love to visit Lake Soba in Indonesia as a friend just back from there. Heard the beauty of the place and  rich culture from her.

A good start indeed

Thanks to Angeline who really makes my day with a wonderful award and tag.  It has been ages since I received an award and a tag. So a wonderful start in August like what Angeline said.

Am I a versatile blogger?  I am not sure, but I do write what ever comes to my mind, may it be food, something happening around me, my two kids or any special occasions.  And as part of receiving this award, I need to state 7 facts about myself.  Well, here goes nothing.....

1. I love purple and turquoise colours.  They are beautiful colours and most of my wardrobe is of those 2 colours.  I feel peace and young in them. *wink*
2. I am a rice person.  I will never go without rice in a day.
3. I love shopping for earrings.  And I have many pairs that I have no place to keep them.  My earrings ranging from simple diamond and pearls; party and tribe-themed to those exquisite and dangling type. 
4. I am a perfectionist by nature, never like faults but most of the time, I have to fine-tune to fit other people's demand.
5. I hate pork liver and what ever goes inside a pig! 
6. I am a homey person, loves to stay at home, reading and cooking.  So you know that I am counting down to the day I move into my new house and be that person.
7. I wish I could juggle my time well between my business and family.

Me and kids

It is Deepavali Day today and a public holiday in West Malaysia. Over here, no holiday and everything runs as usual. It was jam and raining in the morning, took quite some times on the road than usual.

Last night my girl told me that there is no school, but I corrected her as it is not a holiday in Sarawak today. She tried to say the word "Deepavali" but a bit of tongue twister for her. Lol! And I got some ranting from her as well because you see, yesterday was her dental care day and all students are to bring napkins, cup, toothbrush and toothpaste to school. End up she did not participate because she could not find her cup (which is at the bottom of her school bag) and napkin (because I gave her a big towel since there was a swimming lesson). Lol! Kids!

Picture Meme

I have been sick. Tonsillitis and flu, the normal sickness that hit me. Today I am taking 1 day sick leave. Although sick, I still need to do some errands, driving here and there (dont know an opportunity or blessing or what??). But at least I am going to rest as well later in the afternoon. Feeling slightly better, throat not that painful but feeling slightly dizzy, must be the flu pill. And thank you Nyumix for passing along this tag. It brighten up my day and even that I don't feel that sick. :)

This picture was taken early last year with my lost digital camera. Well, this is the famous landmark of Land of Hornbill when you driving down to the city from Kuching International Airport. The big metal bird is proudly overlooking the South (I think! I am poor in Geography, Lol!). By the way, that is my daughter's big bird. Everytime passing by the roundabout, she will point to the bird and tell me "Mummy, it is big bird!" At night, it will brighten up with colourful lights welcoming you to my city.

I feel okay!

Hi there! I am back to the blogging world and I am very happy to be back to my hometown too! Reached Kuching around 6.35pm yesterday. And what a surprise I have when I reached home! Darling hubby made some changes to our bedroom. Some furniture arrangement. I have to keep asking him where is that and this. And not only that, the room was a mess. Clothes not folded and books and stuff were everywhere. *Faint* He has been living like a caveman for the past weeks, he said. LOL!

Nevertheless after cleaning and clearing and a good night sleep last night, I am feeling fine this morning. We have hearty breakfast with my family. After 3 weeks, I feel my little gal is taller and babbling than before! Oh boy! She can sing more songs and learn many new words too. LOL! What a surprise when she said "gila" (BM for crazy) when I praised her singing this morning. Also not forgetting emjei for passing me a wonderful tag. Thank you emjei for visiting and passing me the Feel Okay tag last week. Why shouldnt I feel okay? :) It is good to be home and been with my family.......

Household tag

When Dora ask me what household chore I hate the most, my immediate answer is IRONING without any hesitation! No second thought. I just hate the heat and process of ironing. It is even more frustrating when there were big piles of clothing for me to iron, especially hubby’s office wear. Bulky and heavy. I cant blame hubby as he is a plus size man.

We have thought of getting stay-in maid when we move into new house. Meantime I do all the ironing myself, although most of the time, hubby sends his clothing to laundry for ironing. *wink*

12 words in my life

Interesting tag from Nyumix, where you have to present 12 words that mean something to us, and explain why. It took me a while to think of them, but in the end, I manage to shortlist those 12 words that truly mean something to me in life. In no particular order:

1. Family - without them, I would not be here in first place

2. Friends - they will always be there for me after my family. Without them, life is empty
3. God - there is always the Almighty up there that look after me.

4. Handphone - I am lost without one!

5. Computer - without it, life is slow and boring
6. Internet - to me, it is the "8th wonder" of the world that creates big impact in our daily life!

7. Blogging - where I meet new friends and it has become my newest hobby and crave!

8. Car - I feel helpless and trapped without one!

9. House – Where I feel warm and safe in it

10. Love - without it, life is full of hate and selfishness

11. Food - yum yum! Life is meaningful with those delicious and exotic delicacies, right?

12. Men - we cannot live with or without them!
