Lunch before home

We went to this restaurant before we headed home last Sunday for a simple lunch.

Our simple 4 dishes (pardon the bitten omelette) ^^

It was a very warm Sunday, initially we planned to sit in the air-con space of the restaurant but since it wasn't ready for patrons that time, we ended up seated on the side of the restaurant. It was breezy, thankfully for that so everyone had an enjoyable lunch.

Our 4 dishes course came out at the same time but someone was quick to dig into the fu yong tan (omelette) before I able to snap the food. *wink*

It was a nice lunch; we ordered our favourite dishes that afternoon.

Its 4 -emperors with salted egg vegetable did not failed to impress us.  I think it tasted much better than the first time we had it!! More egg yolk this round to give this dish an extra umph!

One of our family favourites was this pork belly with salted fish. Tasted good and appetizing to go with white rice.

Lastly was this tau fu (beancurd) dish that we tasted for the first time. Deep-fried soft tau fu with preserved mustard and mince meat. It was good. My Jay ate most of the tau fu that day. For a picky eater as him, he sure enjoyed having this dish with his white rice!

We love coming here for lunches and dinners as their food is good and service is fast.

Salted egg seems to be a popular ingredient these days. I'm seeing lots of it from baked goods to cooked food. I must try it one day!
I'm drooling at all the dishes you guys ordered. It certainly looks like a tummy-warming affair - the tummy must be happy! ^.^

The weather is warm today as well.. Went out for lunch and I'm sweating all over.. Oh yes, with kids around, we must always always have egg and taufu with LOTS of gravy, to eat with rice.. So I think I know one of the hungry kids dig into the egg, haha..

I have eaten the 4 emperors cooked with sambal but not with salted egg yolk but I guess it must be very tasty too.

My kind of favorite dishes especially the tofu with minced meat. I like to drench lots of gravy on the rice.
