Hit the beach (again)!

First post of the year but I am writing about the happenings in 2017. It happened on the last week of 2017.

It seemed that my family couldn't get enough of the beaches over the school holidays. We just had our family's first oversea holiday in Phuket early December.

Last week hubby took 2 days leave to spend some time with the kids before the schools started. A long stretch of holiday from Thursday to the following Monday.

So after registered the kids in the primary school, we had a short getaway at the countryside and more specifically a beach holiday in Lundu. 3 days 2 nights in Siar Beach. We booked the one queen-sized bedroom a day before and lucky us, we had the room.

The owner was a friend's father so he was so accommodating to give us an extra single bed. Somehow the 5 of us managed to squeeze in and get some space to sleep.

After tossed our stuff in the room, we hit the beach in no time.

The tide was further to the sea so we had a long walk to reach the water. Big waves, cloudy sky, not so safe to play in the water for too long. So we spent most of our time strolling along the sea line.

We got more water the next day when the kids wanted to test our their new Christmas presents. Snorkelling gears and fishing rods. The water was much calmer the next day. And did we caught any fish? Nay. But the owner of the resort was happy to show us his catch of the day.

Better luck next time, my dears. ^^

Oooo...who caught the fish? So you cooked that for dinner?

I also enjoy walks in the beach but of course the chance to do it is very rare unless if I go back to Terengganu. I like the patterns on that fish. I wonder what fish is that and is it edible.

The owner of the resort caught it. No. No fish for dinner. Haha.

Indeed. First time I seen such colour. I think the owner said it was a grouper.

This is such a nice outing. One thing that we don't get in the Klang Valley is beach. That is why each time we go on a holiday, if possible, it is always a beach holiday :D
