Not ordinary Sunday breakfast

When I said "not ordinary", it means that we eat something out of the usual. In Kuching we mostly have kolok mee for Sunday breakfast, while over here, it would kampua and pian sip. So for a change, we ate something different yesterday.

We woke up pretty early, which was before 7am. Sunday was just like other days except everyone was at home and lazy-ing around with no special agenda. But last yesterday I helped hubby packing for his KL trip. He is going to be in KL for 2 weeks!

His flight was 310pm on Sunday, we had time for breakfast and lunch before sending him off to the airport.

For breakfast, we went to Rejang Park since it is nearer to our house. I fancied for something different so I ordered kuaw tiaw in tomato sauce. Hubby had chao-chu noodle.

Very red looking tomato kuaw tiaw. Not bad but if only they used fish meat, fish cake and prawns instead of sliced pork. Seafood tomato kuaw tiaw tasted better.

Chau-chu noodle is a good change than having kampua every day, I think.

Of course we had some meat filled kompia too. Like this kompia as the meat is juicy and not too dry and kompia also not too hard to bite. *wink*

That was my Sunday breakfast. What's yours?

Reminds me of STP when you mention kampua and piansip.. And I think of STP again when I see your tomato sauce kuey teow.. Looks good, I like anything with a lot of gravy.. Sunday breakfast? Not as fancy as yours.. I just had a cup of Milo, and a few spoons of G's porridge, hehe..

I was curious with that tomato kuey teow. Looks nice. Normally, on Sun we will have noodles for breakfast too. I always love to have dim sum but hubby never fancy. :(

Gee!!! EVERYTHING reminds everybody of me! Hehehehehe!!!!

Which shop? Tomato kway teow looks good but yes, that's the thing about the ones in Sibu - Kuching ones are so much nicer with prawns, sotong and all. Here, only meat.

Everything looks good and I would love to have a mouthful only to taste each. Cannot eat whole bowl or one whole kompia because have to reserve stomach space to eat other food. Ah, I am such a glutton. Hahaha.

Haiyoo,,, I miss Sibu food already! Left the place in 2010 to follow hubby, but the eateries in that place still lingers in my mind. And my waistline as I gained 5kg the 3 years I was there.. Couldnt shake it off ever since! :)

Rejang Park, I fondly remember Choon Seng. Wait, that's at Sg Merah, right?
