Now it has been my kids' favourite too. They love the savoury rice and broasted chicken.
My boy was attacking the prickled cucumber here
They still use this microwaveable food container to store the take-away order. This one piece broasted chicken rice is RM7.25.
Long time I did not have its Sambal Eco Fish rice so I had this dish yesterday afternoon. Love the fresh tilapia. Heard the fishes are from Batang Ai but not sure they still take the supply there or not. RM12.80 for this plate of fresh eco fish rice. It has 2 dippings; one is spicy and sweet soy sauce and another is the sambal. Like its super yummy sambal.
The dippings went well with the fresh sweet flesh. Yum yum.

What is broasted chicken? That plate of chicken rice looks good.. Looks like fried "nam yue" chicken, hehe..
I love Sugar Bun! Anytime nicer than those American franchise places. My daughter loves this place - will always have the fish fillet and rice for her late lunch when she comes back to town from her jungle school. The eco-fish (tilapia) from Batang Ai) is nice too...and I love their fish burger - heaps nicer that the fillet-o-fish at that other place - more like fish cake, theirs.
Broasted is a cooking technique for chicken using pressure fryer. Less oily than deep fried.
Me too. My kids love Sugarbun. Never like the other franchise's fried chickens.
The broasted chicken looks really good...
Cheap! The fish looks big and crispy too... anytime it is fish over chicken for me.. :)
We love SB. My daughter loves it too. This is the only place that she would eat the rice, drumstick, mashed potato and fries... everything lah. But when we ate at KFC, she is starting to being picky. I guessed the taste suits to everyone! :)
Hey, this was my favourite lunch place back in my hometown...lol. I have always asked for extra gravy ^.^
How come this sugarbun chain doesn't wanna come open outlet in kl? I would like to try the fish meal.
I think they did but many years ago and have closed down. Cannot complete with all those franchises in KL. Too competitive.
I love this kinda fish, with the sambal dipping, yumz!
I always love the banana leaves rice. It makes the rice tastier !
all looks so scrumptious!
