Hawker food

It was Christmas day. My coffee shop was opened, so busy at the shop till early afternoon. Everyone took a rest at home after that. By evening we decided to go out for dinner since weather was nice and breezy. Most places were closed that day, so in the end, we went for hawker food in Hui Sing. 

Hui Sing Hawker Centre wasn't so packed when we reached there slightly before 5pm. We found a decent table for 6 of us. Everyone went their own way to order whatever they wanted to eat.

Hubby and I went for claypot chicken rice from Stall 1. RM9 for one claypot. Yummy. 

My mil went for ABC while I opted for Metahorn drink (below). I ain't a fan of ABC due to the colouring and sweetness. 

The kids had fried bean sprout kway teow and tomato crispy noodle which I didn't took shot of. Decent taste, nothing to shout about.

But satay is a must order when one comes to Hui Sing so 50 sticks for us we're a great treat. RM60 for the pork satay. 

Luckily we reached home before the rain started to fall. That was how we spent our Christmas day.

New stalls

It is a lovely, windy Sunday evening. No cooking at home and after dropped my girl to her dinner date, we went to Pines Square to settle our dinner.

We went to this food court since it has been a while we came here. 

There were new stalls that we haven't try before, so we decided to give them a try. 

Chinese BBQ and Delicate Taiwan Teppanyaki. 

I opted for a dish from the BBQ stall. And my choice was this crispy pork with steamed chicken and fried egg curry rice. RM10 for this plate. Taste wise, it was alright. Spicy, good enough to fill up my tummy. 

Chicken chop noodle in mushroom sauce (RM11) from the Teppanyaki stall was boys' choice.  Not really a great dish. Meat rather bland, hardly marinated first hand, and the mushroom sauce didn't help at all. 

Overall, not an enjoyable dinner. Not going to order again.
