The same

Few of our frequently patronised kolo mee stalls increased their price this month. For instance, this kolo mee stall increased their price from RM4 to RM4.50 last week.

But not all, same stall the same (for now). RM4 per bowl. Like the kolo mee stall in this coffee shop when we went last Friday.

Same portion, same taste, pretty consistent in quality.

Even the drink prices remain the same, as far as we know. RM2 for this big glass of teh o. Even a glass of tea o peng also cost RM2. Cold or hot, their tea only cost RM2 per glass.

  1. Kolo mee has always been more expensive than kampua mee, RM4 to RM4.50 is common...but here, kampua mee has shot up to RM4.00 and RM4.50 at one place. I cannot understand why so many people still want to go and get slaughtered...not that it is any special, so much nicer, worth the money. Nothing great...and rather dirty/messy some more!!!

  4. I wonder can they survive without increasing the price as the price of raw ingredients have all gone up.

  5. An increase of 50 cents is reasonable. RM4.50 for a bowl of noodle is considered cheap here. This morning hubby's curry chicken noodle costs RM7. A small cup of hot coffee cost RM2.20, increase of 20 cents. Other shops are charging RM2.40. A glass of Chinese tea is 70 cents.
