Craving for no rice

First of all, Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter, everyone!! God bless us all.

Day 10 continued after our pancake breakfast.

Cooking, watching tv, playing games, catching news and online browsing on phone are my daily routine during this MCO.

I ran out of ideas of what to cook that day. Or rather, you could say I needed a break. Nevertheless, everyone needed to eat but we wanted something simple. We were craving for no rice meal.

So for lunch, I cooked this fried noodle and made a pot of chrysanthemum tea.

With so many free time, we spontaneously made Chinese baos (mantou) in the afternoon. This round, it was plain bun. Cute, small mantou. Supposed to be round but ours weren't perfectly round. Well, they may be shabby looking but they tasted good enough.

We skipped dinner that day but had instant noodle for supper. Maggi mee!!

It has been a long time since I took Maggi mee curry flavour. Somehow it tasted so good that evening. Added some sliced squids, minced meat and egg to our noodle, and it was a wonderful supper.

  1. Yes, tired of rice already. Yesterday we had fried bihun with the canned clams in soy sauce, what they call Hinghua bihun. Finished the whole lot - if rice, everyday got leftover, so many containers now in the fridge.

  8. I don't really into rice actually, but I do love noodle so much, especially kolo mee. Luckily within these MCO period, I only had instant noodle for twice. Cannot have more cause not healthy.

  10. Instant noodles can be so comforting especially on days I don't feel like cooking. Those buns are looking 'natural' - after all, they all look the same once it goes in our tummy..kakaka '^.^
