Right across the road from Tian Xiang Lok-Lok was this Japanese eatery, Megumi Sushi Boat that opened for business in January this year.
Hubby and I noticed this shop way before we parked our car and went into the lok-lok shop. Both of us agreed to try this outley out right after the lok-lok. So, we've kept some stomach space to have the real food in this place.
Megumi Sushi Boat wasn't so packed unlike the lok-lok shop that we went to, which mostly were youngsters and the place was rowdier. In contrast, this place was quieter and more relaxing to have a meal.
The waitress was friendly and kept recommending us their popular dish. A Dayak girl but speak fluent Mandarin.
Here was what we had for our first visit to Megumi. Our verdict?? Good food.
Salmon sashimi
Salmon head teriyaki
Grilled cuttlefish teriyaki
Smoked duck ramen
Kitsune soba
Tempura don
Miso soup
They were having promotion on the salmon fish head teriyaki and cuttlefish teriyaki that evening so our total bill came out to be RM123.55.
I didn't take the photos of all the dishes that we had such as the 3 plates of sushi. By the way, all their sushi would only cost RM2 per plate after 830pm. That was a steal for sushi lovers!
We would be back here to try other dishes or when we crave for Japanese cuisine.
I like Japanese food compared to the Korean ones... and each time we go, the bill surely goes above 100rm easily too! :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Japanese food but can't eat so often as it is not so friendly on the pocket! One of my favorites is grilled salmon head hee..hee...
ReplyDeleteThe food look delicious :)
ReplyDeletewah..very hearty Japanese meal...but quite pricey if no promotion.
ReplyDeleteHaven't had Japanese for a while now. Somehow or other, I just can't get myself to order the salmon head. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteThe salmon head looks scary with the sharp teeth. Not really a fan of Japanese food.
ReplyDeleteI love all the dishes you ordered minus the salmon head lolx.
ReplyDeleteIn the current world situation, it is not advisable to eat raw food. I would go for kitsune soba.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose..long time no see. I have sure missed coming here! ^.^
ReplyDeleteI would so enjoy digging into that salmon head. Yummy...
huh, RM2 after 8.30pm? Must try ..haha
ReplyDeleteNice Japanese treat!
ReplyDeleteI am curious how to eat the Salmon Head Teriyaki? There's little meat there.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I took it. Yes, not much meat but tasty.
