Only 2 of us

My man woke up early on one Monday which happened to be a holiday. He asked whether I wanted to go to wet market, so since it was around 7am, both of us went out, leaving the kids at home.  They no longer wanted to follow us out.

So only 2 of us, and we went to Sungai Maong market. Not so far from our place; took us about 10 minutes and since it was a holiday, the journey was smooth. But at the market, very few stalls opened as I believed it was a Monday. No pork, and mostly stalls were off. However we bought a kampung chicken and some vegetables home.

But before we headed home, my man suggested to go to Green Road to buy breakfast so we ended up in this corner coffee shop (the row of shop next to Sports Toto shop). Seng Kwong Coffee Shop is the name of this shop, at Gold Jade Road!

My dad brought me here few times and I quite like the kueh chap. Milder herbal taste.

I did the ordering since my man's first time here. A bowl of kueh chap without kueh (RM5) for sharing.

We also had kolo mee (RM3.50) and bought 3 packs home.

  7. Wow your kids are able to stay at home without you. I can't wait for the day I am able to do that. For now, Ayden won't leave my sight unless the father is around.

  11. The other day I ate the best kueh chap which was sold by a Thai stall in Puchong. I was stunned to hear that Kueh Chap is actually Thai food. I am a bit confused now but I recalled seeing a shop in San Francisco's Chinatown selling instant packets of kueh chap. They were made in Thailand for exports overseas and I bought some to try. It was pretty close and nice.
