I remember this eatery is not what it is named now. It was named "Palace Tea Duck" before it changed to this current name not so long ago.
This eatery is just next to this Hong Kong Street. I believe the owner of the Hong Kong Street rented the shop to the Claypot Curry.
So, one afternoon, I asked hubby to try this Claypot Curry place and see what they have to offer. Never try, never know, right?

They have quite a menu. Nasi lemak. Claypot pork leg, curry chicken, curry lamb, lamb stew, kacangma.
But that afternoon, hubby and I ordered these 2 bubbling hot claypots for our lunch.
Chicken curry (RM7.00). Quite good, very thick. Hubby would prefer more curry gravy where as I am fine with both.
Hubby asked for lamb stew (RM8.00). And the piping hot lamb stew was so-so. Not much herbs detected other than pepper. This, we would prefer thick broth.
And we also order its lamb curry (RM8.00) for our dinner takeaway.
Taste-wise the claypot dishes were good. We still like the one in No 6 Kopitiam in Jalan Song but it has been a while since we went there. Too far. So we couldn't be too particular since Claypot curry is just a minute drive from our house.
I thought just coffee and some biscuits will be enough for my lunch but now I am feeling hungry after visiting your blog. Lol!
ReplyDeleteI love things cooked in claypot. Think I will try and go to that place for the claypot chicken rice tomorrow. Tried the other day, full house Getting so popular these days. Tsk! Tsk!
ReplyDeleteI will go for the chicken curry, as lamb, not to my liking...
ReplyDeleteThe thick curry gravy is making me salivate! I sure wish there was a claypot restaurant near me. I'll have to settle for the steamed pork I have planned to cook tonight since I'm too lazy to drive out..haha.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad price of claypot curry... best eaten on a rainy day such as now in my place... waiting for the rain to stop so that I could have dinner! :)
ReplyDeleteHow's the taste of the lamb curry? I would go for those lamb dishes too.
ReplyDeleteI love food that is cooked in claypot especially mutton curry. yum! yum!

ReplyDeleteYou have been adventurous with food lately!! I love the clay pot lamb stew , it looks so good. But not as nice, that's a pity! The curry looks thick here, now, I feel like having spicy food now. Maybe Indian curry rice tomorrow. hahaha
