Long ago

Long ago, this place used to be our frequent dining spot as it was near to our old house. However since we moved to our current home, we never go to that area for food.

However this week on one raining evening, we went to this Expert Kopitiam, RH Plaza for dinner as my parents-in-law were here. It has been more than 4 years since we stepped into this coffee shop.


Together with my in-laws, we had a simple dinner and delightful chat amidst the crowd and rain.


I went for something soupy such as this pan mee. Love the soup; not too much MSG. RM6.00 for this soupy pan mee.


Ordered this chee cheong fun for my MIL to try as she had never had it before. She liked it as it has prawn filling.


We also had fried carrot cake with radish which was beautifully fried.


But my favourite dish would be this pork satay. Well-seasoned and moist but I prefer the pork satay from this food court.

It rained but the coffee shop was almost full to the max. So many food stalls there to tempt you, sometimes you may be lost at what to eat. I wonder when would I be back here to try out other food stalls? Hopefully not on another rainy evening. ^^

  4. Eveytime when I went Kuching, besides kolok mee, my favourite one would be pork satay. I even always bought more than 50 sticks when back to KK.

  5. I would walk over everytime I stayed at the hotel across the road. Never saw the pork satay there or I would love to try. I did not get to try the ones at Carpenter or Hui Sing either - heard so much about those.

  6. Pork satay is always good! :)

    It's common in Melaka but can hardly find it elsewhere. Glad to see Kuching has it. Come to think of it Kuching has a lot of strange satay like innards, chicken skin etc.
