Few Sunday ago, we went to Reservoir Park for a stroll to kill times before attending a Sunday service.
The kids were super excited to go for a walk regardless of how the weather was like. The haze started to come back that day but that did not dampen their mood.
We parked at the designated parking space next to the Red Crescent building and walked to the park which is a stone throw away from the building.
To me, it is a blessing to have such a serene park in the city and furthermore, it is well maintained and preserved. I used to go here for an evening jog but that was ages ago. I could see that there is some improvements to the park.
Reservoir Park was a popular spot for wedding shots back in 70s and 80s. I remembered seeing my parents' wedding shot taken on the red bridge here!
Can you spot the red bridge above??
Beautiful stone boat
Some addition to the park are these carved rocks.
Misai kucing growing beautifully
Another stone boat
Fierce-looking face
Many old trees in this park and they created a serene and shady environment.
Another wonderful addition is this children playland.
Okay, maybe we will come back in a more proper attire and better weather for a family jog. Then the kids get to explore the whole park.
good time to explore places before church service, the kids are all wide awake after the explorations on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteLike postcard pictures, nice.. Good that the kids like strolling around places like this..
ReplyDeleteNice park, wanted to go for a jog, but seeing the haze in the unhealthy range, so have to wait for haze to go off before going for a jog...
ReplyDeleteNice park. If only we have something like this over here. I love spending time in parks.
ReplyDeleteLovely place, been around for a long time now. Glad to see that they have maintained it so well, still so nice, sparkling new. Place where couples go "phak thor" - did you and your hubby go there before? Wink! Wink!
ReplyDeleteNot telling you!! Wahahaha
DeleteThis is a beautiful park especially when it is well maintained, clean and neat. Yes I can see the red bridge. Nice place for outings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice park especially with those old ancient trees.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and serene park and well maintained for so long! There was a famous park in Ipoh now left so rundown and it's so disappointing! I don't mind doing some runs here! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the beautiful stone boat (picture #7)
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful place to hang out. It's neat, the scenery is great and it looks like the kids love it too! Great place for a picnic, I guess?
ReplyDeletegood to be able to enjoy the dya. here have been raining two days. Hopefully haze will be gone soon
ReplyDeleteHave you been to any reservoirs in SG? I've always enjoyed my trips there too. xoxo
