I have a great recipe to share with you. A simple and tasty avocado salad with tomato cherries and lettuces for that snacking desire. And it is absolutely gorgeous to serve when you have guests coming over.
Ingredients:
Handful of lettuces (I used red coral lettuces for that dark colour and contrast)
Handful of cherry tomatoes
Grated mozzarella cheese
1 Avocado (not too soft)
Fresh cinnamon basil leaves
Dressing:
Balsamic vinegar
Olive oil
Pepper and salt to taste
Methods:
1. Tear the lettuces into smaller pieces. Cut the cherry tomatoes into half. Cut avocado into smaller pieces.
2. Place all in a salad bowl.
3. Sprinkle some olive oil and balsamic vinegar and flavour with pepper and salt.
4. Garnish with some fresh cinnamon basil leaves.
5. Toss and serve! Bon Appétit
And all I needed was a nice glass of cocktail to complement this lovely salad. *wink*

How much in Kuching? Here around RM10 EACH!!! On some days, may find some a bit cheaper, RM7-8. Will buy sometimes as my girl loves it, otherwise...I think I can live without it. :(
ReplyDeleteI bought RM7 each for the avocado.
DeleteYummzz, the salad really looks good.. Looks like restaurant type of salad.. If got grilled chicken or bacon, I think lagi restaurant standard..
ReplyDeleteI usually eat avocado on its own with milk..just too lazy to mix and match with other things..good quality ones are sold at RM10.00 per kg in the pasar here.
ReplyDeleteLooks even better than those serve in restaurants
