Simple steamed veggies

Another simple vegetable recipe from me.  I learnt this from an aunt about 3 years ago when I operated my shop before I called it a quit in 2012.  Never knew steamed vegetables could be this yummy  Save oil and cooking times and it still taste great!

I have leftover shimeji mushroom from my previous cooking (check out my previous post), so I finished it up in this recipe.

Ingredients:
Shimeji mushroom, stem cut, washed, soaked for few minutes and strip to smaller pieces
Black fungus, soaked in warm water to soften and cut into smaller pieces
Chicken strips
Few slices of ginger
Salt and oyster sauce to taste

Ingredients:
1. I soak my black fungus in black vinegar for few minutes.  About 20 minutes.  It tasted better and this vegetable dish taste super yummy, trust me.
2. Mix mushroom, fungus, chicken strips and ginger together.  Add salt and oyster sauce to taste.
3. Do not add water as mushroom will release some fluid in the cooking.
4. Steam in medium heat till chicken strips are cooked, take about 10 minutes.

Voila!  Dig in and enjoy!
