A must confinement food for Hakka women. Even can be taken on normal day but you have to reduce the amount of kacangma leaves and wine content. This is my version of kacangma which is well liked by my Foochow hubby and family. Kacangma is well known for warming properties and health well being.
Buy the defined or processed leaves. Easier to be taken. This packet cost around RM3 or RM5. Can be divided and used 3 times

ReplyDeleteI had Kacang-ma for all my 3 confinements as well. My mum helped me buy all the way from Sibu to Johor for me. It was very effective to 'clean' body from 'dirty blood'. My confinement lady was a Foochow lady from Sibu who cooked all those delicious Foochow food for me. Even though I am not a Foochow, I have got used to all those Foochow food like mee suah in red yeast wine, pig liver and kidney etc. I miss my confinement food.
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether I can find in KL. I remember tasting it in Kuching.
