At last! I got my new MyKad today. I did not get it yesterday as they have some internal system problem! So much for wasting my time and driving all the way there yesterday morning. Ironic thing is that the customer service staff at the counter did not inform me (or other customers) on the failure, she just proceeded with giving the waiting number to me. Shouldn’t we at least been informed on the problem at hand than let us wait aimlessly? Sigh! After 10 minutes of waiting and sensing something is wrong, I went to check with their officer who happened to stand in front of the customer service counter! Then I knew that their system was down. Sigh! So much for been efficient and computerized department.
I was actually lazy to go to the registration office this morning. Why? It is actually out of the way, after sending little gal off to baby sitter’s, I need to take one round back to the other side of the city! It took me about 30 minutes to reach the registration office from baby sitter’s house. Before I went over, I gave their hotline a call to check on their system. Luckily the system is back to normal and I was able to collect my new MyKad! It took me less than 2 minutes to collect it, since not many people this morning. Must be the drizzle this morning, a wet day with roads nearly packed with cars and jam everywhere.
