Not as good

Hubby drives home on Friday evening and by Monday morning, he would drive back to Sri Aman to work.

He takes his time on Monday morning. Do not want to rush back especially when it rains and road could be slippery. So last Monday before he started his journey back, we had a quick breakfast in this cafe.

It has been a while since we have our breakfast there. Somehow the quality of the food dropped. No longer that nice like the 1st time we ate there.

That morning I went for its seafood mihun. Not so tasty as the mihun was rather tough. Maybe it was not cooked well so I did not really enjoyed it much.

Hubby has his usual set which was the kolo mee and a chu char soup (mixed innards soup).

His kolo mee tasted better than mine but somehow the soup was not as good as before. It still has a ting of vinegar in the soup but hubby said it wasn't tasty as he remembered.

Anyway, after he dropped me and Jamie home, the rain started again. While I were day-dreaming in the rain looking at neighbour's young papaya tree, hubby left for Sri Aman. We didn't get to see him till Saturday afternoon last week.

But on a good note, he is on leave today to spend some time with the kids since it is school holiday and he has some errands to run to.

Have a good week ahead, guys!

  1. The seafood mihun looks bland.. But I think they tasted alrigh.. The bowl of soup looks good to me, like our porky soup with liver and intestines, very sedap..

  2. The taste consistency has dropped but luckily the portion did not, over here even KFC's serves smaller piece of chicken now.

  3. Wahhhhhh!!!! At least he gets to go back on Monday morning. My girl goes back on Sundays - school starts so early Monday morning, not keen on driving there so early in the dark.

  4. Tough mihun is not fun to eat. I prefer the mihun to be soft, soft.

  5. It can be disappointing when the food we ordered is not as tasty as before. Have a good family time together.
