Lazy weekend

How was your weekend??

We have a relaxing and lazy weekend especially on Saturday where we stayed at home the whole day.

Everyone was in good mood, as usual when it comes to weekend where the kids are together. Chaos and fun, all in one package for them.

We went for something light for breakfast. Bought some butter cake and potato raisin buns the night before. Our current addiction. Everyone loves to eat the butter cake and munch on the soft buns for breakfast.

For lunch, I cooked this delicious dish, which I will food-mark for my future reference. *wink*

Found this super delicious pork belly with salted fish recipe from this blog. It was appetizing and great to eat with white rice.

I used dried chillies instead of fresh red chillies. Like what we have when we ordered the salted fish pork belly in claypot.

And I used this salted fish to give a crispier bite to my dish.

Give this recipe a try and hope you will enjoy it.

And in the evening we went to our clubhouse swimming pool to cool down. A great way to kill the heat and give the kids some more reason to work-out. *wink*

They were in the pool for almost an hour. And the little one has wrinkled skin all over his hands but he enjoyed the fun.

And me? Relax while having my chilled root beers looking at the clear blue sky.

Thanks for the short rain last 2 days and we could see a better and beautiful sky on Saturday.

  1. Which club is that? Does not look like Sarawak Club's pool. Family time is the best time - that is why I love weekends, my girl will be home. She loved what I brought home from Aloha, pies and quiches - where did you get your butter cake? Does not look like the very famous Mita's.

    1. Bought my bakes mostly from Taka. Nearer to my house.

We have a clubhouse in my neighbourhood. We pay for the facilities and services every month and pool is one of the facilities.
