Last minute

It was a last minute shopping for us last Saturday when we went to The Spring mall. We went there around 10am to avoid the big crowd and same time can look at its CNY decoration.

Lovely decor this year with red lanterns hanging on the ceiling.

We spent nearly 3 hours shopping; mostly for myself and hubby since we done the kids shopping early this year.

After the tiring shopping and walk, we went to Kenny Rogers Roasters for our lunch. I think the last time we came here was about a year ago!!

We seated right in front of the big oven so we could see the chickens been roasted in it.

And how heavenly the smell was when the chickens came out from the oven. We were salivating over the chickens. Could not blame us, as we were famished by then!

Orange juice to quench our thirst! Somehow it tasted good, not too sweet.

Our vanilla and banana muffins came first to satisfy our hunger pangs before the main courses were served.

My plate of delicious original flavour of roasted chicken with green salad, boiled vegetables and mashed potato.

Hubby's plate - except baked beans, he has the same thing as I did.

Of course before we started to dig in, a group photo of me and the kids.

We came back the next day (CNY Eve) to collect hubby's altered jeans that he bought from Denim Shop and had a quick shopping in Ta Kiong. I were glad that I bought something that I like in Ta Kiong that day. Walnuts!!

Okay, guys. Time to sleep. Had few nights of late sleep so tonight I am going to bed early. Will be back for my next post.

So stay tune to my next post - how our 2016 CNY looked like.

  1. I love Kenny Rogers. Have not had it for years and years and years now...the last time, my girl was still in school, I think.

  2. I have gotten quite sick of Kenny Rogers. Haha!

Not that there's anything wrong with it, I used to work near one and one of my coworkers (who was on a diet) would just eat there coz he can get chicken only, otherwise if he goes to nasi campur shops, he'll forgo the rice and eat a few large pieces of chicken which doesn't work out economically since it's cheaper to just go to Kenny Rogers. Thus, we ate there quite often and I have gotten a little sick of it. It takes a few years to regain the appetite, as I found with Subway (lived near one and ate it when I was home late almost every day in 2008 and only recently started eating it again).

Hope you had a great CNY Rose! :)

I wish I could visit your home, I want to eat your nuts (the last one). ˙͜>˙

  4. I always shop early for the kids. Hubby and I will shop early 2 weeks before CNY. I can't shop at the last minute because I have to help my mother in law and my mum when it's near CNY.

  6. Lovely decors there. I also went to the malls in Ipoh during the last two days before cny and it was really crowded.

  7. Honestly, Kenny Roger is never my first or second choice when we out to eat. I quite like their muffin though.

Wishing you and family a Happy Chinese New Year, Rose.
